Swollen

Jon's foot is swollen. Main suspect would be an insect bite cos he got another one on his hand. I thought the swelling would go off after a few days but it looks like it got worse instead (so 'sam thong' - sakit hati). I don't think it is troubling him too much as he was dancing away in school today. Thanks for his ever cheerful self! Good boy!



After visiting Jon's favourite paediatrician, the doc prescribed some cream for him. Since Jon didn't have any fever, it is not necessary for antibiotics.

So today, I gave the whole house a good mop. Found a baby centipede in the wet kitchen. Thank God I was armed with the mopping stick. Argh! That made me mop even harder. The current weather conditions did not make the situation any better. Ants, baby centipedes (I have yet to see the mother centipede!), millipedes and all sort of insects making their way into the house.

I have this thing against pesticides because I fear that Jon would accidentally get some of it into his body system (ok ok... I'm being paranoid here) but instead I use Cosway's Concentrated Floor Cleaner that "repels crawling insects naturally". Love it! And it works well but not 100% la (I will be very sceptical about the content if it repels insects 100%). Sometimes I get some ants in crawling into the house but it is minimized.
