How do you control a child?
I've been having some problems controlling Jon nowadays. He doesn't like us to hold his hands and guide him even on the escalator/lifts. Instead, he likes to walk (or rather run around) or jump regardless what we say to him. I'm just worried that someone would catch him and take him away or knock into him. Gosh! Its even harder when we are out in public places. Will this stage pass? How do you control a child?
A. Tell him nicely that he is misbehaving (Jon can't really understand yet)
B. Scream at him
C. Hit him so that he does not misbehave (sometimes he gets the message after a few warnings)
D. Drag him away from the situation (especially dangerous places like the escalators or lift)
E. Ignore him
F. Include him in the activity that you are performing ie. picking fruits or vegetables
G. Give him food/ a book/ a balloon to distract him
I've tried all methods. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. He likes (F) more. Today, when we were at the mall, Hubby gave him a plastic bag with some batteries inside. Seems like he enjoys to be "part of the gang" and gets a feel of his independence.
