Happy Belated Mother's Day to all

I didn't really celebrate Mother's Day this year. Didn't celebrate with my mother either cos we went back to Hubby's hometown. But we are going for Japanese buffet this weekend... kekekeke. To celebrate a belated Mother's Day with my mom and I've been having Japanese food craze lately. So, what the heck. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone. If I throw in the early Father's Day celebration in, it will be killing 3 birds with 1 stone. Hmmm... I don't think so. Will look like I'm a cheapo. Looks like my craze for Japanese food is not going to go away anytime soon. (So, anyone wanna belanja... you know what kind of food I'm interested in).

Apart from that, Jon was down with a fever... in Hubby's hometown... and I forgot to bring back his fever medicine. That is the worse thing to happen. To get sick during the weekends (clinics will be closed) and away from home (away from regular doctors). Jon was already having flu and cough the whole week and the medication didn't seems to be working fast enough. Then back in Hubby's hometown, we decided to go jalan-jalan merata-rata. After a fun time out, Jon came down with a fever. Was it because we brought him out at night or was it a fever waiting to happen. So, in the middle of the night, we went to a 24 hours-polyclinic. What do you expect from a polyclinic at 12 midnight? A locum. Jon as usual, ran like headless chicken at the sight of a doctor. He suspected a throat infection (without checking the throat). I was like... hmmm... should I take the antibiotics or not. Hubby was looking at me one kind (the kind that says "you better think thoroughly about it, else I don't want to hear any grumbling after this"). At last, I just took the fever medicine and sponge him whole night. Next day, fever is still there. We came back and decided to bring him to a clinic near home for antibiotics. This time, the doctor did check his throat. And it was a throat infection. Hubby was complaining that the doctor didn't check his ear. I suspected the same thing cos the last time Jon had ear infection, his temperature reading was higher (>39 C). Ear infection is more difficult to treat and because it is confined (that little compartment in the ear with no air circulation makes it easier for the virus to breed and harder to treat). We were so glad to see Jon recovering with the antibiotics. Whew! No need to see specialist. Save some $$. Not that we are stingy or what, but Jon has always seen by a very nice specialist doctor (even for flu and cough). I always wanted Jon to have the best care/ treatment we can afford, but I think it is time for him to visit normal GPs for flu or coughs, huh.

So, that was my Mother's Day celebration.
