When we started to potty train Jon, we used a potty. We taught him how to squat in the bathroom too. But when the teachers in school complained that Jon doesn't know how to pee in a standing position, I was wondering whether I taught Jon wrongly. According to the teacher, squatting is for girls (somewhat sissy). Boys have to stand, hold and shoot. This mean another training task for me at home. Jon didn't have much problem doing that after a few attempts but he has 1 condition (wah lau wei... can express his condition when he can't even talk properly). He will sign us to leave the bathroom. Privacy needed. This is going on well... till one day, I heard this from the bathroom:

Girls - Squat

Boys - Stand (can shoot further), Hold (so the piss don't go north, south, east and west all at the same time), Shoot (do your business la)

Jon surprised me today. During his afternoon nap, he suddenly woke up and started taking his pants off (an indication that he wanted to pee). Apparently, we forgot to put diaper for him when he fell asleep. Yay. Its a sign. We can train him to be diaper free during his nap time. But we are still working on the poo part :(
