Potty Training Journey - Pt 4

I can almost wrap up on this topic. Jon is able to express his needs to pee and poo. And he is making a good use of the padded trainer toilet seat that I bought for him (not wasting, ya). I tend to buy things for Jon way before hand and Hubby won't understand why I do that most of the time. That is because there were times when I needed something, it was not available or we'll be hunting for the item high and low just before the supermarkets closes. Hubby hates it when I have to drag him out at night to get a pacifier/ clothes detergent/ milk bottle's teat and ended up not finding any that is suitable for Jon. See see... this is why I need to get things way before Jon actually needs it. Kinda prepare for rainy days.

Ok, back to the padded seat. I bought this nice padded toilet seat for kids (so that it won't hurt their tootsies) which cost a bomb. When we got home, I was excited to let Jon try the brand new toilet seat. Guess what, he ran away. After a few days of trying and getting some mild lecture from Hubby, I gave up. Put the seat aside.

As we continue to potty train Jon, we will try to coax him to sit on the toilet seat when he wants to poo. After awhile, Jon finds it fun to sit on the trainer toilet seat. I don't really know exactly when, but Jon begins to poo using the toilet seat after a few incidents where he "ter"-poo on the bathroom floor. Maybe he felt "geli" or something. So, now he still say shhh shhh if he needs to poo. But, he'll will insist on seating on the trainer toilet seat he needs to poo. We get the message. Oh ya, I make it fun for him by giving him some soap to wash his hands while I clean him and also lotsa praises la....

Now he is diaper free during daytime. Sometimes his diapers is dry when he wakes up in the morning but I dare not take the risk yet. Maybe when he turns 3. Bagi chance la.

2 thots counted:

errrr, how you do that? how? how? that's the first thing i 'planned' to do as a sahm, but 7 months passed, my boy still on diapers *knock head*. errr, how la.. he's heavy wetter. even at night on mami poko pun can sometimes bocor. siang i normally put on huggies je so always bocor if more than 3hrs. imagine lah if no diapers how many times gotta visit the loo? kalah pompuan pregnant.

hi moli. Thanks for dropping by, Its all sweat, tears and blood. I took a lot of months too.Sometimes Jon did leak on the floor and sometimes I just give up after a few hours of trying. But I am glad that the teachers in school are very diligent in making sure that the kids go for toilet break every now and then. Banyak keje sikit. Every 30-45 mins bawak ke toilet. Tats why I mintak bapak dia tolong "tunjukkan". Hahaha. All the best!
