Until last weekend, Jon has not been to a beach. Shida has just finished her finals and it was a cause for celebration. So, we decided to bring our families to the beach and feast on the seafood. I must say, Jon got a shock of his life to see so much dirt.... hahaha... the sand I mean. He wouldn't allow his feet to touch the sand. Me, being an evil mother, placed him on the sand and he has no choice but stand on it. His was wailing away. And when I finally took him up to the mat, he frantically tries to rub the sand off his feet. Then guess what I did? I took him and ran towards the sea so that I can get his feet wet. Again, his wails falls on deaf ears. After some moments of "torturing" him, Hubby came to the rescue. Jon seems to be a bit OK being close to the sand at the end. In the mean time, Shida's sons was enjoying themselves on the sand building sand castles. Hopefully, he'll be able to join Shida's sons to play in the sand next time.

It was my birthday and Shida gave me a birthday treat. A big thank you hug to Shida. We were suppose to start the day by taking our kids (Rayyan, Dylan, Jon) swimming but I was zombied out from finishing a conference paper the night before, so we just stick to a lunch do at Palm Garden Hotel, Putrajaya. Yum yum. This is the first time I'm bringing Jon out on my own with Shida and Rayyan. As we were having lunch, Rayyan and Jon had some bonding time, using some of their social skills they learned in their schools.

Rayyan had his birthday party in Taman Botani, Putrajaya during the weekend. Party's theme was "Thomas and Friends". Shida baked a Thomas cake....hehehehe. I bought a T&F balloon but didn't manage to take any pictures of it. Darn. I only took a few pics of Jon at the party. Cos I was so excited to meet all old friends there and also Shida's friends. Well, I'll remember to take more pics next time.
