Lately, Jon's behaviour has been unbecoming. He will scream at the top of his voice, hit me or his poh-poh and once in a blue moon bite me if he gets very angry. Hubby says he is taking after my sporadic moods. Me? Moody? Well, I do scream... sometimes. Guess we have to do some damage control which I reminded myself not to have to do this. You see, we are suppose to train him correctly once rather than re-training him when he learned the wrong things. I need to read up more on this cos I have no idea on how to re-train him since he doesn't fully understand instructions. I just use a bit of stern voice and a little bit of cane (just to scare). My mom was wondering if he behaves like this at the nursery. I hope not! If he does, I hope the teachers would be able to handle his "rude" behaviour. Actually, they are quite good at it. One day, Jon came back and started screaming over something. Then he made the "shhhh" (keep quiet) gestures. Guess he gets a lot of this at school. The good thing is that, he stop screaming (for awhile) after that. This means that he understands and obeys.

I met one lady whom is really into children books and she shared her experience on how to get your kids to behave the way you want. According to her, when you don't want your kid to run, don't say "don't run". Instead say "walk". Hmm... maybe next time when Jon scream, I'll tell him to talk instead.
