Jon's new words
I can feel that his learning pace has been picking up very fast lately. I hope that we would be able to catch this golden moment and teach him correctly otherwise he will pick up the wrong things that we don't want him to. Other than reciting his ABC till Z and 123 till 15 or 16, he is beginning to pick up other words he learned from school, books, TV or our conversation with him. Here's some examples:
1. Don sha (Don't shout)
2. Shi ah (See you)
3. Maaaaaiii Maaaaaaiii (Bye bye)
4. Epi (Daddy... where is mommy???)
5. Water
6. Ball
7. Shuuee (Shoe)
8. Kawai (Colour)
9. Thake (Take)
10. Open
He is responding well to instructions more now. Like throwing rubbish/ laundry. Taking things. Keeping toys (only when he feels like it). I have to give credits to the teachers at his school for being so patient with him. He loves school a lot... to be with his friends and teachers. He can write some of the alphabets and we are teaching him to write 123. Maybe because he doesn't talk much, he seems to enjoy writing and colouring a lot. Can't wait for him to talk more so that I can teach him more things. I find that teaching him by speech is challenging because he does not respond verbally. Therefore, I won't know if he understood what I taught him. Just hope that he will continue to progress in his own pace (mummy will pressure a bit every now and then) and hope that everything will fall in place in good times.
