Jon (the smarty-pants) has taken potty training or rather toilet training to the next level. He started doing his "big business" in the toilet today.... on the bathroom floor.... 3 times! *I dare not elaborate on what had happened*.

It happened in the morning when he just got up and he told me he wanted to shhh shhh. But instead.... More work for mummy and poh poh cos we have to wash the bathroom a bit. Instead of scolding him, we tried to console him (maybe I shouted a bit in the beginning and scared him a bit. That small fella did a big thing today, ok). I told him it was OK (eventhough it was not but I'll deal with that later la) and next time he has to say uuk uuk. I fear that if we send negative messages to him, he might have reservations in doing it in the bathroom in the future. It was partly our fault for not fully train him to do "big business" in the bathroom because I thought he was not ready yet.

I bought the toilet bowl seat for kids 2 weeks ago in anticipation to train him to seat on the toilet bowl to do his "business". We trained him to uuk uuk before but he never manage to do it. So now, we have to do some damage control.

The outcome was correct (he did it in the bathroom).

The method was wrong (on the bathroom floor!).

The message was wrong (shhh shhh instead of uuk uuk)

But I am just glad that Jon is diaper free during daytime! Yay!
